Camp Manito-wish Adult Trips

August 18-26, 2007

Manito-wish's Adult Trips are a chance to rekindle the fires of friendship, refresh and learn tripping skills, and reminisce about past camp trips: trail lunch, life of a voyageur, the "grubber," and amazing places. Adult trips are also an opportunity to introduce friends and family to the trail, and share the Manito-wish Experience.

Quetico Provincial Park Canoe Trip

Trippers will paddle and portage Quetico’s countless Canadian shield lakes and rivers. The quiet waters are free of motors and perfect for an afternoon swim or to wet a fishing line. The undeveloped shorelines have excellent campsites for watching the sunset. Your trip groups will pack out food and equipment at camp before driving north. For more information on this amazing area visit www.queticofoundation.org.

Apostle Islands Sea Kayak Trip

Sea kayakers will enjoy exploring sea caves, camping on sandy beaches and paddling from island to island around the Apostle Island National Lakeshore. After a brief orientation, you will be driven to the shores of Lake Superior where your adventure will begin. A great opportunity to get a close view of this Midwest treasure. Learn more about the Apostle Islands at www.nps.gov/apis.

Superior Hiking Trail Backpack Trip

The Superior Hiking Trail follows the Lake Superior shore of northeast Minnesota. Hiking is along the ridgeline and hikers pass through varied forests. The trail follows and crosses many creeks and rivers, traversing state parks, private land, and the Superior National Forest. For more information about the trail visit www.shta.org.
