"This was one of the best experiences of my life. My trip group and leader were awesome! It was a challenging trip, which I am really happy about. It forced us to work hard enough that we were proud of what we accomplished at the end of the day. It was a very rewarding trip. I learned more about myself, others and how to enjoy God's beauty!!!"

Katie, age 16
Outpost Trips vary from 9-55 days in destinations including Isle Royale National Park, Quetico Provincial Park, Lake Superior, Lake Huron, Northern Saskatchewan, Nunavut, and the Shoshone, Custer, Nez Perce, and Gallatin National Forests in the Rocky Mountains.
"These new experiences really opened me. I accepted and conquered these elements and felt really good for it. It made me appreciate the little things in life and taught me that the best things have to be worked for. It gave me new determination to get things done and get them done well. In short, it's made me a more self-reliant and efficient person."

Jennie, age 16
Most participants begin with the Voyageur Outpost Experiences as entering 9th or 10th graders. As they develop their skills and progress through the program, they can continue to challenge themselves in the Intermediate, Advanced and Expeditionary levels.
"I realized that what I can do on trail and how far I can push myself can be paralleled back home."
