Camp Manito-wish YMCA Cookbook

The last Manito-wish Cookbook includes the following introduction from Amanda (Maguire) Friese (then Trips Director). "The Jolly Green Voyageur Cookbook has seen many updates and revisions over the years. In 1965, Trips Director Tim Corcoran developed the first Manito-wish cookbook. In 1969, Bob Dwelle came along and expanded and made improvements on the original. Steve Burr, in 1974 and again in 1978, created the cookbook that we have used up until 1998." And we repeat Amanda's closing words, "It is time for a new version!"

In the spirit of Manito-wish collaboration, we invite your help in sending trail tested recipes for inclusion in a new Manito-wish Trail Cookbook. Click here to submit your recipes for the cookbook. (If you don't have access to a computer, but would like to send a recipe, just contact Camp for the list of information to include with your recipe.)

All recipes submitted by APRIL 15, 2012 will be considered for submission. We anticipate having the new cookbook available for purchase by June 2012.

Manito-wish alumni... we need your help to change more lives.

Over 80% of campers attend Manito-wish because of a recommendation from a friend or family member.

Please invite potential camper families to our events to meet staff, learn about opportunities, ask questions, and to enroll in thier Manito-wish experience.

Interested in helping us serve more young people and families? Please consider hosting an information evening in your town. Contact camp at camp@manito-wish.org or (715) 385-2312.

Do we have your current email address? Just to be sure, update your information using the Submit My Info field on our Camp Alum page.

Help more kids learn to love the outdoors...

Most of our campers are introduced to Manito-wish through friends and family, please invite any potential camper families you know to a camper information event. Let's make sure kids get outside this summer! Or, contact us and we will be more than happy to send information out to a potential camper family.
